Isaiah 6:8
“Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I.  Send me!”

At our wedding in 1990 – yes, it’s been 30 years! – Jerry and I sang “Here am I, Lord send me!”  It was a declaration to a lifetime of service – all in, 100% for Jesus, no matter the cost.  God is so good, isn’t He?  He’s been so faithful, gracious and kind to us.

We were beyond grateful to return to Tanzania, as a family, to do the first ever ACOP project here.  This local church, situated in a 95% Muslim community,  built the church and ACOP of Canada came alongside and financed the roof. Truthfully, we received more than we gave.  We were struck with the humility of Pastor Tumaini, a mason by trade, as he served building and roofing the church.  Church members and other pastors donated their time and skills to help.  The church mamas cooked and helped with children’s ministry.  We served alongside the Tanzanians, roofing the church, doing children’s ministry, ministering, meeting with Tanzanian missionaries to the unreached and ministering at a ladies conference.

The dreams God has given us for Tanzania have never died.  We dream of lost people coming to Christ, of a beachhead being established for the gospel along the coast and islands (a number of which are 99% Muslim).

Jesus said “I will build my Church” and He is doing it. Thank you for partnering with us as we labour with Christ to “plant and build the church in Africa”.
