After the Service, the Children Were Crying

Drought in Malawi

“After the service, the children were crying”.  ACOP President, Rev. Stephen Banda, inquired what was wrong with the children.  The response was that the children had not eaten the day prior and were hungry.  Rev. Banda took the money he had in his pocket and gave it to the church leaders to get food for the children to eat.  People are hungry all over Malawi.  Malawi has declared a NATIONAL STATE OF DISASTER (Read here).  Please pray.

On May 24th, Brenda will be on her way to the Warm Heart of Africa – Malawi!  We have worked hand in hand with our brothers and sisters in Christ there – since 1994 – and enjoy a close relationship that still exists today.

While there Brenda will be:

  • Meeting with the national executive and President of ACOP Malawi.
  • Meeting with ACOP orphan care committees.
  • Visiting/ministering in an ACOP secondary school, churches, projects, missions etc…
  • Doing an assessment of the effects of the 2015 floods and 2016 drought which has caused extreme hunger and finding ways to assist in this time of great need.
  • Joining with Rev. Dan Adam and team from Nanaimo who have been working with ACOP orphan care for a number of years.
  • Introducing Rev. Stan Powers to Malawi for his first ministry trip there.

  • ACOP Malawi as they deal with the current hunger situation – that the Lord would help them and bring many to Him.
  • Safe travel, health and strength.
  • The family at home.
  • Anointing and wisdom, effective ministry.

And that Brenda will be a blessing and encouragement during this national state of disaster.

Thank you for your faithful prayer and support that makes this ministry possible.
