Camels, Couscous and an Ancient Medina

Camels, Couscous and an Ancient Medina

Passing on a camel ride was not difficult. Passing on a delicious meal of Couscous (traditional Moroccan meal) was. So, we immersed ourselves over 5 days in traditional Moroccan life and culture as we prayed & scouted opportunities for gospel work in this ancient land. A highlight was spending a day in the Atlas Mountain foothills in a small Berber village among a welcoming, engaging people who do not know the savior Jesus Christ. What a profound privilege to share the good news of Jesus over Moroccan tea and sour milk “matured” in a goat skin. Winding our way through narrow passages of the ancient Medina (city) clearly outlined the desperate need to bring the hope of Jesus to a hungry people immersed in the centuries old culture and religion of Islam.
