We were 15 people
We were 15 people, traipsing through two huge unreached cities in Central Asia, scouting out opportunities to share the good news. In the forefront of our minds, we were looking for open doors where people could be deployed as full time workers. With supernatural guidance, we found both opportunities to share the good news and open doors to see full time workers deployed. Nate was one of the young men with us, just 19 at the time. This month, 2 ½ years later, he is finally going full time as a new intern Global Worker to this densely populated, unreached country. In fact, 4 of those original travelers are in this country today, already engaged in work among the unreached.
Refresh
At the beginning of October we, Jerry & Brenda, along with other ministers, will be travelling to this country to conduct a Refresh Retreat for workers in their region. Nate and 16 Global Workers and children, along with a ministry team, will be there. Please pray for an intimate time with Jesus, deep ministry of the Holy Spirit, valuable equipping & training times and spiritual renewal for all our workers. Following that, Jerry will travel to 2 other cities in the region where we have workers to provide care, counsel, ministry and assessment.
Training & Equipping
Over the last two years, we have devoted significant time to Missions Training & Equipping for many of our current Global Workers, all nine new ACOP Global Worker candidates and numerous local churches and leaders. This includes:
- Training Sessions with new Global Harvest workers / missionaries and potential candidates as well as at Eston College and local churches.
- Utilizing web-based coaching and training through Skype, OneDrive, Video, e-books as well as other online resources.
- Kairos Course Training for our churches, church leaders & global workers in partnership with other agencies and church fellowships.
Nate was part of a Kairos course we facilitated in May 2014. How exciting it is to now see him ready to launch into the “white harvest field” to continue training and to reach the unreached for Jesus.
