Profound joy, laughter, tears, hugs and kisses, the sense of the deep presence of the Lord are some of the words that describe our recent ministry time in Southern Africa! I could have kissed the soil of Africa when I got off the plane! Our deep love for the people of Africa has never left our hearts. It was a privilege to serve on the ground, hand in hand, with our brothers and sisters in Malawi, Zambia and Tanzania for so many years.
Jared and I thoroughly enjoyed our very intense ministry time that included 11 flights, countless meetings in Zambia, Malawi and Zimbabwe, church services, site visits to 8 orphan care centers, new churches, micro industry projects, a proposed clinic, schools, and Bible schools. During our final week, we joined Rev. Stan Powers and his team from Sonrise Full Gospel Church. Jared enjoyed helping to install steel siding on one of the projects in Zimbabwe. These men carry a big load of responsibility in their nations and need to be covered in prayer for the challenges that they face. We were thankful to see many things moving forward in spite of challenges and not only are new churches being planted but also that they have sent missionaries into neighboring nations. We met 2 families in Malawi that are Malawian missionaries to Mozambique. Praise the Lord!
