THEY HAVE MOUTHS BUT THEY DO NOT SPEAK!

THEY HAVE MOUTHS, BUT THEY DO NOT SPEAK!

Their idols are silver and gold, the work of human hands. They have mouths, but do not speak; eyes, but do not see. They have ears, but do not hear; noses, but do not smell. They have hands, but do not feel; feet, but do not walk; and they do not make a sound in their throat. Those who make them become like them; so do all who trust in them. Ps. 115:4-8

What seems to simply be a polite gesture of bowing becomes solemn honor & worship to idols in Buddhism. While Jerry was in Thailand in late April and early May, he was overwhelmed by the hopelessness that was evident in those bowing before hand-crafted Buddha idols – lifelessness for those who bow to these lifeless idols fashioned by human hands. Whilst there, Jerry ministered with the Bays, ACOP members ministering in Thailand. They are doing excellent work through planting churches in the region and children’s homes for vulnerable children. Jerry also attended a training conference on Church Planting among least reached people groups and a conference on global Business as Mission initiatives. Buddhism still holds almost 95% of the population in Thailand captive. Please pray the Lord of the harvest to send laborers into this harvest field and that souls will be loosed form the bondage of Buddhism.
